The scariest moment for a mother.

I think every mother on the planet has had a moment where something happens to their children and their heart literally dropped. And that is what happened to me just a week ago.
I was working when I got a phone call from my sister, whom is also my babysitter. I couldn't answer but took my phone, stepped away and called her back.
When she answered the phone all I could hear was her and my daughter screaming. So So i quickly ran out of work and all the way home, since I do not drive.

My dad called 911 because my daughter, mackenzie was very badly hurt. My sister was making microwave mac and cheese bowls when they were done in the microwave she put them on the counter. My daughter was very curious and walked over, stood on her tippy toes, pouring the hot mac and cheese all conversation herself. Thank goodness the cheese wasn't in it.

Immediately as I got home, the ambulance was there. We were rushed to the closest hospital with a burn unit, about an hour from my house. Mackenzie had suffered from second degree burns to her face, neck, chest and shoulders. I had never seen anything like it. It was the scariest thing I had ever seen. And it felt even worse with it being my little baby girl, who who is only one year old.
For a few days is was debated whether or not she would need skin grafting. So they waited through the weekend so they could consult a plastic surgeon. They determined that she would need skin grafting and on Tuesday the 8th, Mackenzie was taken into surgery for skin grafting. This was on the list with scariest moments of my life. I have never imagined that one of my babies would need to be put to sleep. She did so amazing and they were able to skin graft everything they needed to.

She is now on morphine for pain, and she is fighting very hard.  I am so proud of my little baby girl. She is cuddly like usual and we are hoping for a quick recovery for her.

We have recieved so much support and it's amazing to see how people rally behind you when a tragedy strikes. Its absolutely amazing and pulls on the heart strings. So many prayers and visitors and family has been so amazing.

It is hard being away from my son. I miss him terribly even though I know I have to be here for my daughter.

Here is to hoping for a fast and speedy recovery to be home for christmas.

Mackenzie's First Birthday Party, etc.

Mackenzies party is coming so fast. -_- I cannot believe that it is less than a week away. I have been working so much which is good and bad. I miss the kids and have no time to do barely anything and party planning is so much harder when you only have one day off the week before. But here goes a sneak peak of our year of Mackenzie craft I hope to finish today.

That is the pictures that will be made into a banner for Mackenzie's party on Saturday. Hoping it comes out the way I imagine it. Stay tuned for pictures of the entire party. Mackenzie's actual birthday and many other fun things and life changes to come.

Life Changes.

It i amazing how sometimes things can just come together. Its like a puzzle that you finally can get the pieces together. You wait so long for them to finally fit, you stress over them being all scattered and not together. Then they start to come together. It is an amazing thing. It makes the smiles come back, the laughter. The greatest thing in the world is being able to say your life is coming together :)

I recently started work at a grocery store. It is part time but it is an amazing company. It is nice to be working again after 10 months of being home with my kids. Not only do I make money to provide for the things they need but I also get much needed away time with some adult interaction. It is nice to be able to talk to people who can understand a deeper conversation. Besides those random questions like why is the sky blue or why does dumbo fly if he isn't a birdie.

I have spent the past 4-5 years since high school trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I have so many ideas that it is hard to choose. You want to choose something you will be happy doing until you can afford to retire. And I think I have finally decided what I want to do. I love babies and I love the miracle of birth. I have given birth twice and I have witnessed one birth and it is amazing to see how amazing the human body is. It is beautiful and I think I would like to become a midwife assistant or an actual midwife. It would be an amazing thing to bring lives into this world... or at least help bring those miracles into the world. I guess that is a good step, finally knowing what dream you would like to follow once the timing fits perfectly.

I am so happy that life is turning around. I am happy that I can start to feel good enough to start making things better for me and my kid. It is nice to set a goal list and know that I can probably achieve that list.

My goals:

Car
Move out
School
and whatever else will make me and my kids happy :)

Stay tuned for some more fun posts!

First Birthday Planning.

I have been planning Mackenzie's first birthday party since she was like 6 months old. Crazy, yes I know. But I wanted it to be perfect. I was not working and money is tight so I cut a lot of things off of my necessity list. But now I will be heading back to work and I am going to add those things back onto my list. I am so excited for this party. I love planning parties and decorating them. Its so fun.

Mackenzie's party theme is a pink, white and gold princess theme. All different shades of those colors all mixed together. I didn't want to do a character so that I could make a lot of things. I am not the most artistic person in the world so I made it work.

I have a list of things to still get and make so when the party day comes I will post pictures of everything. Including food. And a grand total of what I spent.

As of right now I am at about $40 dollars and I have most of the decorations and things bought. I just have more crafting things to get which should not cost too much.

It is pretty easy to plan a party, It can get very stressful which is why I try to not go crazy and over board.

I will post another post about her birthday closer to the day.

My YouTube favorites.

So recently I have been watching a lot of YouTube vloggers. It is my new obsession. Its like when you find a new favorite TV show. I really followed one person. Her name on YouTube is GabeandJesss. She is a young mommy with 4 kids and I definitely felt like we had some things in common. It was nice to see her parenting style and it was like I knew her, without actually knowing her. She has the cutest family.

One day there was a video in my suggestions of a Vlogger named SprinkleofGlitter and oh my goodness I fell in love. She has the most amazing accent and the cutest daughter named Darcy who makes your heart melt. Her name is Louise, I should have said that to begin with. She has so many fun videos and her personality is so amazing. Her laugh is even contagious. I love her adventures and I was so excited when she said she was releasing a book. Which I plan to get as a little mommy gif tot myself. And in her video she was talking about how she met another mommy vlogger through YouTube so I went and watched her videos. Her Youtube name is bitsandclips but her real name is Marie. She has two little cute babies, Scarlett and Luca. I hope I spelled those names right.

Marie (bitsandclips) is like your friendly neighbor who you wish was family. She makes you want to keep watching. She gets so excited in her videos and makes the funniest noises. Her whole family is adorable and I wish I had her crafting skills. My favorite videos are the videos of Louise visiting Marie in Seattle and their trip to Disney World. They were so fun to watch. They are hilarious together. Its like when you have that best friend that is meant to be your soulmate. They are definitely that! I just love both of their pages. I am so in love. Its so weird but I dont even care.

Another recent favorite is one of Louise's best friends or who she calls chummy ( I hope I spelled that right) Zoella. She is also from across the pond as well as Louise and that accent, I love accent. A sucker for accent. Zoe has such a bubbly personality, you cant help but watch her videos. Plus I love when her and Louise do videos together. Plus her boyfriend is pretty hilarious as well.

A few other people I have followed lately:

The Stauffer Life is an awesome family of vloggers. They are so super cute, and funny. You cant help but keep watching. They keep it interesting. They have other pages as well that I follow. The families names are James, Myka, Kova, Jaka and a baby boy on the way named Radley. They do everything in there daily vlogs. From going out to eat, to shopping to making fun of eachother and of course spending time with their gorgeous babies. The reply to all of their comments which is amazing. I have never had someone reply to my comments. They make their channel very personal which also adds to you wanting to keep watching their videos. They are awesome. Definitely a family to watch because you wish you knew them in real life.

I follow a younger girl named Sarai. Her channels name is krazyrayray. She is so cute and very outgoing. She has some super cut videos and she is pretty funny. I love her style and how at such a young age she is following her dreams. Very cute girl. Her videos are not like the others I watch but she is really cool.

So those are my favorite YouTube channels right now. I dont watch too much TV anymore so that is my entertainment when I find time during naps and things like that. Check them out you wont regret it!

Let' Talk About Children's Movies

Everyone loves a good movie. And everyone has there favorites. Movies are a big part of our lives. Think about it, kids fall in love with movies and you end up buying them every toy and piece of clothing having to do with that movie. Here are a list of movies I have watched recently! Let me know if your kids like any of these movies too!
Ratatouille- Gavin recently found this movie in our collection and he LOVES it! We watch it on repeat and he gets so into the movie. And him saying the title is hilarious. If you have not seen it, it is about a rat who becomes a french chef, first by being a “puppeteer” with his only human friend Linguine, then becoming a chef in his own restaurant. It is a cute movie that shows the great relationship between and pet and their owner!
Frozen- I think every single mom knows about Frozen. Gavin knows every single word to the songs and is obsessed. He has 3 stuffed Olaf’s and really wants me to find him a Sven! It is a great movie. One of my favorite newer Disney movies. If you have not seen it you have to see it, it also has very good messages for young girls!
The Croods_ Gavin absolutely loves this movie. I am not sure why but I have seen it a million times. This movie is about cavemen who think the world is ending so they follow a boy named Guy to find safety in a place they call tomorrow. Its a cute movie with a great story line. And a good message about loving your parents no matter how much they drive you nuts!
Planes- There are two movies, Planes and Planes: Fire and Rescue. And Gavin LOVES both. They are made by the same people who wrote the Cars movies. The main Character becomes a racer, even though he is a cropduster and then in the second movie he becomes a firefighter. They are very cute movies and I actually like them more than I like the Cars movies!
Big Hero 6- this is a very cute movie. I loved it as much as Gavin did. He is very into superheroes so this movie was perfect. The beginning was kinda sad but at 2 Gavin didn’t really understand that part of it!
Dumbo- Yes Dumbo is an older movie… made in the 40′s and I have no idea where he even saw this movie but he is obsessed. It is now on our list of movies to buy. He cries if I don’t let him watch it, but we don’t own it so that is difficult!
Those are the movies Gavin is into now! Let me know what movies your kids watch!
